Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 23, 2026
HyperCap does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. It does not connect to the internet.
What data does HyperCap access?
HyperCap intercepts keyboard events when you hold the Caps Lock key, using the macOS Accessibility API. This is required for the app to function. Keyboard events are processed locally and in real time — they are never recorded, logged, or transmitted.
What data is stored on your Mac?
HyperCap stores the following data locally on your Mac, in the app's sandboxed container:
Your settings and preferences (shortcut mappings, snippet text, date formats). Your research notebook entries (text you explicitly save with ⇪+S or ⇪+H). Your secondary clipboard contents.
This data never leaves your Mac. There is no cloud sync, no backup to external servers, and no way for Nexius Lab or any third party to access it.
Accounts and authentication
HyperCap does not require an account, email address, or any form of registration. There is no sign-up process.
Network access
HyperCap does not make any network requests. It does not connect to the internet for analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, license verification, or any other purpose. The app functions entirely offline.
Third-party services
HyperCap does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services, SDKs, or analytics platforms.
Children's privacy
HyperCap does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy, we will update this page with a new "last updated" date. Given our commitment to not collecting data, we do not anticipate significant changes.
